Liberal Congressman Laughed and Booed at for Saying Social Security is "Stable"

Democrat Congressman Russ Carnahan was speaking at a rally about our Social Security system.  After bashing President Bush for half a minute, Carnahan decided to say "the social security system has been stable for 75 years.  It has one of the most efficient ratings in terms of any agency."  The crowd erupted in laughter:



If liberals want to say that Social Security is stable under their watch, this is the kind of response they will get.  The best thing the lady at the podium can say is that people have a "moral contract" not to laugh at people making outrageous statements?

I'm glad the crowd started laughing again when she said that.  I'm also glad that the audience called out Carnahan for bashing Bush and hurting Social Security.
