War? What War?

I have a question for all of those who will read this column: Is it just me, or is the media (old and new, liberal and conservative) seem absolutely content on NOT reporting on the ongoing War in Afghanistan? I don't think it's just me on this.

Every morning, I search for news on the latest developments from the Afghan Theater of our nine-year War on Islamic Terror in the Middle East. As of late, the news has been quite good, especially when you read into the weapons we're now using against the Taliban. However, this shouldn't be - 90,000+ American soldiers are fighting for our country right now, someone should give enough of at least one damn to report on their progress.

We shouldn't have to search for news on the War; it should be reported.

Did you know that we're bringing in the M1A1 Abrams Tank to the Helmand Province?

Whether it be indifference because we now have a weak Democratic war-time President, or negligence due to the never ending domestic political fight over domestic issues that pale in significance to War in Afghanistan, I don't care. All forms of media (print, radio, television) have an obligation to inform the public on our men, and women at war.

Enough reporting on the food safety bill. Enough reporting on Bristol Palin's dance moves causing liberal heartache in San Francisco. Enough reporting on the treasonous bastards at WikiLeaks. It is time to report on those who report every day for duty in Kabul, Helmand, and Kandahar in defense of our Nation.

This ends today. America is at War, it's time to start acting like it. I'll be, what about you?

  2. Sorry, but I don't give a damn about the war. My freedom is gone, stolen and usurped from the swine in washington - I could care less about their war. As a combat vet I care about the soldiers but the war? Gimme a break - the border is wide open. Protecting our freedom eh? Sorry, not buying it.

  3. Afghanistan is not a war it's a battle in the larger war against expanding and oppressive Islam.
I agree that the media should report about it, but it is not essential for victory.
Maybe we need to get out of Afghanistan and deal with the real problem: Iran.

    1. Your freedom is not gone, and what we have lost can be recovered.

    2. "Their War"? Wow.....I guess your someone who does not remember the 3,000 individuals who were murdered on September 11th..... I'm with them on "their war", you asshole.

    1. The border being wide open, and the War on Terror are two completely different things. I think we all know the former is causing issue after issue in our Nation, but doesn't compare with what Islamic Jihadists have done and plan to do to us.

    2. Yea.....Protecting our freedom from Jihadist bastards who want to eliminate all freedoms for women, non-Jihadists, and implement Saharia Law in the United States. Destroy our Republic, our Capitalism, our Constitution, and even our very own lifes.

For someone who served in the Military, you are quite the ignorant fool. Shame on you, obviously time in the Military taught you no respect.
