The EU is planning on banning all gasoline and diesel cars from its cities within forty years. This is despite the fact that they are vital to the economy of the client states. This action is meant to reduce greenhouse gases-- another example of the potential economic suicide some on the left would like us to undertake.
Top of the EU's list to cut climate change emissions is a target of "zero" for the number of petrol and diesel-driven cars and lorries in the EU's future cities.
Siim Kallas, the EU transport commission, insisted that Brussels directives and new taxation of fuel would be used to force people out of their cars and onto "alternative" means of transport.Britain is already crying foul but it appears that this may become the policy of the Continent. Glad that we have our own set of laws and independence.
