A Look at Obama's Approval Ratings

This is your roundup of the major polling of the President's approval ratings. In this edition we can see that Obama's numbers appear to be dropping several points as gas prices go up and the Middle East is facing more chaos.

So let's take a look at some of the top pollsters:

Gallup:
Approve: 46%
Disapprove: 47%

Rasmussen:

Approve: 45%

Disapprove: 54%

The RCP average is held up by a Newsweek poll that has his approval at 50%. All of the other major pollsters have him below.

In the Real Clear Polling average:
Approve: 47.2%

Disapprove: 46.3%

It appears that the benefit of the doubt coming after the Tuscon shootings is fading. Rising oil and gas prices are squeezing ordinary Americans and Obama's statements on Wisconsin's public union fight are making him look partisan.
