McCain: "I Reaffirm my Call to Impose a no Fly Zone in Libya"

Just moments ago, Arizona Senator John McCain reaffirmed his stance that there should be a "no fly zone" over Libya.  Writing on Twitter, McCain stated that this could help limit bloodshed in the country:
In the last week, hundreds of Libyan protesters have been killed by pro-government forces using jets to fire on the crowds.  It is argued by supporters of a no fly zone that it could force the Libyan military to ground their planes, thereby limiting deaths.

Those against a no fly zone argue that the United States, NATO, and the UN have no right to impose their will on the Libyan government and Dictator Maummar Gaddafi.  Some also worry about the monetary effect such an action could have.

Little over a week ago, Libyan jet pilots defected to Malta after being ordered to fire on protesters by Gaddafi.

  1. IS the rebels goal liberty or another attempt at socialism? Will the neoconservative payoff be binding them to globalization and insuring a market stake in their country?
