And one of the states that he would probably have to win in (or at least have a good showing) is New Hampshire. The Granite State is holding their primary next February and Trump is already polling fairly well there. As a matter of fact, the real estate mogul hit 20% in a recent poll, and is within six points of Romney.
Now we get this word from the New Hampshire paper the Union Leader. According to an article on their website, Trump not only plans to come to the state-- he's making a tour of it.
Cohen said that Trump will spend about eight hours in New Hampshire and have several meetings with invited guests at various locations in southern New Hampshire. We're told the guests will range from GOP activists to Tea Party activists to business men and women.
In addition, said Cohen, Trump will make a least one unannounced walk through at least one Main Street area of a community to meet with voters. People who happen to be where he is walking will to get to meet him if they wish.
But overall, he said, "The purpose of this trip is not a meet and greet for the public."
Notice the repetition of the word "unannounced." The Donald obviously wants attention by going to the state, but... apparently wants to avoid attention? Or perhaps heighten the mystery surrounding his quasi-bid until he makes the official announcement next month.
In any case, he's preparing for something. And New Hampshire seems to have what he wants.
