Al Qaeda: Osama bin Laden is, Indeed, Dead as a Doornail

Well, I never expected to get good news from al Qaeda, but them confirming the news of Osama's demise warms my little heart. Of course, there was no doubt for me or for most (sane) Americans, but the Middle East appeared unwilling or unable to accept the death of bin Laden.

Now it appears that the organization that bin Laden used to head (before he lost it) has released a statement lamenting his demise.

"We stress that the blood of the holy warrior sheik, Osama bin Laden, God bless him, is precious to us and to all Muslims and will no go in vain," the statement said. "We will remain, God willing, a curse chasing the Americans and their agents, following them outside and inside their countries."

"Soon, God willing, their happiness will turn to sadness," it said, "their blood will be mingled with their tears."

Poor, poor al Qaeda. Maybe the other leaders know they're next.
