Congressman Boswell, Grandson Fight Armed Intruder

Congressman Leonard Boswell (D-IA 3), who served in the United States Army for almost twenty years, helped fight off an armed intruder Saturday evening at his Lamoni, Iowa home located in Decatur County.

The man entered Mr. Boswell's rural home at about 10:45 p.m. and attacked his daughter - demanding money. Mr. Boswell heard his daughter's screams and rushed into the room attempting to disarm the intruder.

While the two of them struggled, the Congressman's grandson retrieved the family shotgun and pointed it at the intruder, which resulted in the coward running off and the situation normalizing.

Wow. Just wow.

Congressman Boswell and his grandson should be commended for bravery.

What say you?

P.S. - Congressman Boswell is "A rated" by the NRA and always endorsed.

  1. Good for him and I'm glad his daughter was unharmed in the incident.

Of course he's risking a lawsuit the the ACLU.
