Good news from the War in Afghanistan front this lovely Sunday morning.
NATO and Afghan security forces engaged thirteen Islamic insurgents in the Nangarhar Province while targeting a local Taliban leader. The coalition killed most of the Taliban on ground, but called in an airstrike that finished them off - along with the school they were hiding in, which was vacant for summer break.
There has been no word if they succeeded in their original mission.
Thankfully, no civilians or coalition forces were killed during the engagement, which lasted several hours through out the night.
Coalition forces are continuing the good fight against the Taliban, even though their governments are pulling the rug out from under them before their mission is complete and the enemy is defeated.
What say you?
