Racism at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

In a recent fund raising appeal, the Chairman of the DCCC goes off on a tirade against Congressman Allan West, a Republican U.S. Representative who represents Florida's 22nd congressional district. Congressman West is the first African-American Republican Congressman from Florida since Josiah T. Walls in 1876.

So what does Steve Israel, the DCCC Chairman say? He refers to a "partisan tantrum", and appalling behavior by Congressman West, then asks for a donation to help to defeat Allen West.

And then he concludes with the amazing statement that "Allen West has shown us his true colors."

Racist or simply unfortunate turn of phrase? You decide.
