Woman Arrested for Trying to Sell Baby at Taco Bell

According to police, last week 36-year-old Heidi Knowles was at Taco Bell with her three day old son.  Knowles then approached a woman who was eating and handed her the child.  Before the confused woman could respond, Knowles stated that the infant could be hers for the price of $500.

Unsurprisingly, the woman refused and quickly called 9-1-1.  Knowles was arrested soon after for outstanding warrants at Kay's TV Motel; bail was set for $50,000 and she was charged with "attempted child selling/child buying."  Her son was put into protective custody.

Police stated that Knowles appeared to be under the influence at the time of her arrest.
