Sometimes I like to go over to the main three cable news competitors' websites and compare their top stories/top pictures. Of course, much of the time the articles are on the same topic. Then there are the slower news days when nothing particularly grabs the spotlight. Days like that are the best for comparing the front pages.
Going to Fox News this morning, they had this as their top story:
Despite who you support in the 2012 Republican field, this seems like a pretty legitimate story, even if everyone is already talking about it. Perry performed poorly during Thursday's debate, and he's rightfully getting some vetting.
One down, two to go. Next up is CNN. Their top story and picture is Do loved ones bid farewell from beyond the grave?:
Crisis Apparitions? I guess this could kind of be an interesting story. News? I don't think so. You pretty much can't prove anything, but knowing our Main Stream Media, a lot of it is speculation anyway. But still, this is the most important news in the world?
Now on to MSNBC. Their top story is Glamorous gay dance scene a 'family affair:'
Seriously? Palestinians asked for recognition from the UN yesterday, unemployment is 9.1%, and the US may go bankrupt in days and this is the top story? I mean, it may be interesting to some, but top billing?
No wonder no one reads/watches MSNBC.
