The electoral saga that began when Senator McCain lost the 2008 Presidential election finally concluded today with the announcement that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will not enter the 2012 election. I have only these thoughts:
Sarah, you did the movement good in the 2008 election as Senator McCain's Vice-Presidential nominee, however, you will serve us better in the future as someone on the electoral sidelines using their skills, and talents to influence movement opinion than someone, publicly unpopular, running against Barack Obama.
This is good news for the Republican Party - we need to stop looking for new entrants and start considering our current field, because they are our choices to challenge and, hopefully, replace Barack Obama in 2012.
What say you?
