While the Republican battle has dwindled to two - Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich - fervent supporters of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin are still trying to persuade her to enter the race, even though she has missed most primary deadlines by now and has announced she's not running.
Conservatives4Palin, the largest pro-Palin website on the internet, has bought ads in Iowa to get the ball rolling on a potential candidacy, which is smart, because candidates don't need to file in Iowa's caucuses - anyone can show up supporting whomever they want for the nomination.
The odds of C4P having much success on either front: convincing Palin to run, or voters to support her, is doubtful, but stranger things have happened in presidential caususes and primaries - look at the 1964 Republican primary in New Hampshire, when Lodge, who wasn't running, or even on the ballot, won with over 40% of the vote.
What say you?
