In the Schoharie County Clerk race, Republican incumbent Indica Jaycox destroyed Democratic challenger Gary Hayes, garnering 64% of the vote to Hayes's dismal 36%.
Hayes ran into major opposition after he campaigned while people were literally shoveling out their destroyed homes and businesses after Hurricane Irene. Next, Hayes obtained documents and kept them illegally in his possession, telling local news sources that the Clerk was not doing her job, even though she had done much more than she had to. The lie did not stick. Hayes then stated that he would "protect" the county from hydrofracking, even though the Clerk has nothing to do with such a process. Again, his lie did not take.
In the end, Hayes lost by a whopping 28%. Next time he should try to stick with the truth instead of lying constantly.

ReplyDeleteTake this LIBEL down now!
ReplyDeleteHopefully he'll learn from this and run a successful campaign for the Mayor's office next year
ReplyDelete@Second last anonymous: you obviously have no idea what libel is, do you? This is all true:
ReplyDeleteDozens saw Hayes campaigning the day after Irene hit. Hayes was commanded to turn over the documents he had obtained because they were illegally in his possession. County Clerks mainly deal with DMV and documents, not hydrofracking.
If you do not know all of this already, either you are terribly misinformed, incredibly stupid, or both.
