November 20, 2011 Spain Election Results (Resultados Elecciones Generales de Espana)

The Spanish election results are streaming in, with Socialist Prime Minister Zapatero in big trouble. Zapatero took office in 2004 after taking advantage of the Mardrid train bombings. Now, with unemployment at 20% and a soaring debt, the Spanish people are looking for new leadership.

The right-of-center People's Party is on track to win a massive victory:

Opposition Popular Party leader Mariano Rajoy has a lead of about 15 percentage points, latest polls showed, sufficient to secure an absolute majority in parliament and a free hand to reform.
Spain would thus become the last of the so-called periphery eurozone nations to ditch its government after the debt storm toppled rulers of Ireland, Portugal, Greece and Italy.
For more coverage, here is El Pais's coverage.

Update- Exit polls suggest such a landslide victory for the conservative People's party that they will likely have the absolute majority.

Here are some partial results from Madrid.
