The ongoing troubles in Egypt should not only worry American and western policy makers, but should result in them questioning the entire 2011 Arab Spring revolution and whether the costs have been worth the small rewards thus far.
Sure, the revolution has resulted in several strongmen being ousted, a type of democracy sweeping Northern Africa and the long awaited destruction of Libyan lunatic Muammar Gaddafi. However, most of the ousted despots were allies of the United States and replaced by ideological men with a political agenda unkind to the Western world and our needs in the region.
