So what happens only a few yards away behind Senators John McCain (R-Arizona) and Chuck Schumer (D-New York) when their touring the border in Nogales, Arizona?
An illegal immigrant successfully climbs an eighteen foot wall, right next to two U.S. Senators and several armed Border Patrol agents, and was apprehended immediately. Leading Senator McCain to tweet that the "incident is another reminder that threats to our border security are real."
Right on, Senator McCain. Please remember this story when the Senate picks up debate on immigration reform next month, as a prime example that while our border's security has improved a lot, there are still critical issues on our Southern front and that do form of pathway should be considered until all forms of illegal entry are sealed to the best of our ability.
