Poll: Sanford Trails Colbert Busch 47-45%

Oh shit.

According to a poll released early this morning by Public Policy Polling: not only is former South Carolina Governor and world acclaimed Appalachian Trail climber Mark Sanford losing in his congressional bid, he's losing to Elizabeth Colbert Busch by two points in a significantly Republican district.

Okay, maybe that didn't make my point, he's losing to STEPHEN COLBERT'S SISTER!!!

And while his opponent in the upcoming Republican runoff, Curtis Bostic, is actually tied with Mrs. Colbert Busch at 43% (gee... I wonder why she performs four points better against the Argentinian love machine..), Sanford is unfortunately leading by thirteen points to receive the GOP nomination.

Nothing really surprises me anymore when it comes to South Carolina, as they hoisted this horrendous and terrifying situation upon themselves, but please South Carolina... Please don't send the trail hiker adulterer or the idiot Comedy Central "comedian's" sister to the House of Representatives.
