Bob Bauer, White House Counsel, ordered the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups

It is mid-afternoon, Friday, June 7, 2013. Minutes ago, the IRS Scandal just blew wide open. There are many hat tips to go around on the right-to-sphere. Firstly, some background yesterday, from TownHall.com, "Connecting The White House / IRS Dots: The Bauer/Cutter Nexus":

 

Today, more information surfaces that may help to connect the dots about what happened at The White House. The first place to start is with this PJ Media piece by J. Christian Adams, who makes a compelling case that White House counsel Bob Bauer could be the architect of the systemic abuse IRS targeting wreaked on conservative entities. In raising questions the FBI ought to pursue with Bauer, 

Adams asks, "Did you meet with Doug Shulman any of the 157 times he visited the White House, and did you discuss exempt status of conservative groups?" Maybe Bauer did, maybe he didn't. But the fact is that he didn't need himself to meet with Shulman to get his point across. Why? Because Stephanie Cutter, political fixer, has already admitted she was in on some of those meetings.

Looks like J. Christian Adams of PJ Media was the very first to speculate as to who gave the order in the White House to IRS officials to target Tea Party groups:

When the FBI finally fires up its criminal investigation of the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups, there is one person the special agent in charge better be sure to interview — former White House Counsel Robert Bauer. The FBI may discover the whole IRS mess leads through the land of campaign finance “reform” and an obsession with speech regulation, an obsession shared by Bauer. Any criminal investigation identifies for further scrutiny those with motive, opportunity, and means, and Bauer deserves no quarter from FBI investigators on those three counts.

An hour ago, Adams was a guest on Sean Hannity's radio show, fingering Bauer as the very individual in the White House who ordered the targeting. 

Matthew Avitabile of Pundit Press and I are now advancing the story, with a little help from our friends at Maggie's Notebook (linked at LR's sidebar.) Bob Bauer is married to none other than Anita Dunn. 

That's right. The very same Anita Dunn who was at war with Glenn Beck all through 2009, and targeted Fox News, by seeking to exclude them from White House press conferences. The very same Anita Dunn who named Mao as one of her two all-time hero philosophers at a Ivy League college speech, caught on video. 

And irony of all ironies, get a load of who is doing the Fox News report. None other than James Rosen.

Dots connected!! White House officially linked to the IRS Scandal. Chu-ching!!! 

Needless to say, Glenn Beck's gonna have a field day with all this.  Too bad, it's Friday afternoon, and we now have to wait til Monday for all this to be aired.
