Carly Fiorina versus Hillary Clinton in South Carolina on Wednesday
This could be a very interesting day in South Carolina involving two of the 2016 presidential candidates. Republican Carly Fiorina and Democrat Hillary Clinton will both be holding campaign events in Columbia, South Carolina, on Wednesday,
"We've had this event on our calendar for some time. But we were pleasantly surprised to be able to draw the contrast in such close proximity.
"Our events tomorrow are all open to the press. And by open press, we mean we'll actually take questions.
"That's right. We've answered hundreds of questions from reporters because we believe the American people will not and should not elect a President that can't answer for her record, won't explain her positions or for whom the truth is whatever she can get away with," Fiorina's deputy campaign manager Sarah Isgur Flores said.
Former Secretary of State Clinton is scheduled to speak to a Democratic women's group and will be holding one of her now infamous "roundtable" discussions with a group of minority business owners,
Fiorina has been on the attack since launching her presidential campaign, often criticizing Clinton's record as Secretary of State.
“Like Hillary Clinton, I too have traveled hundreds and thousands of miles around the globe, but unlike her, I’ve actually accomplished something.
“You see, Mrs. Clinton, flying is not an accomplishment. It is an activity.
“What Hillary Clinton desperately wants to talk about is that she gets to be the first woman President. What she desperately wants to talk about is there’s a war on women. What she desperately wants to talk about is playing the gender card.
“If I am standing next to her on a general election debate stage, she can’t talk about any of those things. You know what she’s going to have to talk about? Her track record," Fiorina has said about Clinton in the past.
