The Coast Guard scoured the waters off Florida Monday while the families of two 14-year-olds combed the shoreline for any sign of the boys who disappeared three days earlier on a fishing trip.
Coast Guard officials said they have covered 27,000 square miles since Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos went missing 3 days ago.
"People can survive in the water. It's relatively warm. But again, it's a dangerous environment and there's only so long you could stay in the water," Coast Guard Capt. Mark Fedor said.
