On Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson told NBC's "Meet the Press" that he thinks the U.S. shouldn't elect a Muslim president.
“I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that," Carson said.
Carson went on to say that a President’s religious faith shouldn’t be “inconsistent with the values of America.”
“But if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the Constitution, no problem,” Carson said.
