France Declares State of Emergency for First Time Since WWII

France has declared a state of emergency for the first time since the end of the Second World War. The terrorist attacks have killed over sixty people so far and it is being reported that over a hundred are taken hostage.

The New York Times is reporting that the country is in a state of crisis, with the borders of France on lockdown. This is an incredible step for the first time since the beginning of open borders during the formation of the European Union.
