Islamic State threatens further attacks on France after claiming responsibility for a series of deadly assaults by gunmen and bombers across Paris which French President Hollande called an act of war.
"When the terrorists are capable of doing such acts, they must know that they will face a France very determined.
"Faced with war, the country must take appropriate action.
"France will be merciless towards these barbarians from Daesh," Hollande said, using an Arab acronym for Islamic State.
