As you know, if Barack Obama were a teacher, his pets, seated prominently in the front row, would be illegal aliens, convicted drug felons and “refugees” from Muslim countries. You don’t expect him to turn our country into a Euro-style socialist paradise without changing the demographics and the electorate do you? So he loves those who are helping him declare “Mission Accomplished” before he leaves office. No federal agency has been more helpful in moving us down that shining path than the Department of (In)Justice, which sued, and eventually extorted $200,000 (and an “uncapped back pay fund” to compensate its “victims”) from an American business for committing the unspeakable offense of requiring people to provide proof that they are eligible to work legally in the United States.
Over the last several months, we at The Teri O’Brien Show have been observing and reporting on the Regime’s aggressive “seeding” of Middle America with these “New Americans,” you know hard-working folks like the Tsarnaev family. Lately, the Obama administration’s focus is on importing at least 70,000 Syrian “refugees” (read economic migrants), 97% of whom are Muslims, into the U.S. Of course, that’s not nearly enough for one of the members of the U.S. Senate’s jihad caucus, Sen. Dick Durbin.
When we started looking into this rather disturbing scheme, we discovered several facts worthy of your attention. An extremely high percentage of these Middle Eastern migrants end up on food stamps, which is bad enough, but that of course that’s not the worst of it. Our government has stated repeatedly that we cannot vet these people and that we have no idea who they are. Are they terrorists? Are they really from Syria? No one can say. The U.S. Attorney in Minneapolis, where the our government with the helpful assistance of the U.N. (yes, that U.N.) and “charitable” organizations, whose CEO’s earn salaries in the mid-six figures, has settled thousands of Somalis over the last 30 years says that we have a terrorism problem. -
As if turns out, though, like so many bad policies that have been gradually destroying the country we grew up in, this crap didn’t start with Obama. He’s just put his foot on the gas and floored it as he takes us over the cliff. Before him, there was Bill Clinton. Did you know that we resettled over 100,000 Bosnians after Bill Clinton’s Balkan war? We did. Experience shows that when Muslims show up in Western countries they aren’t inclined to assimilate and go along with the customs of those countries, including the United States. Instead, they assert their “right” to alter our society to fit their demands, and the Obama regime is delighted to comply.
On September 30, 2015, Obama’s DOJ sued the City of Des Plaines in U.S. District Court in Chicago because the town refused to rezone an office building as a mosque as requested by the American Islamic Center, a congregation of Bosnian Muslims who arrived in the U.S. in the 1990’s. From the DOJ press release crowing about the litigation:
“The ability to establish a place for collective worship is a fundamental protection of the First Amendment and our civil rights laws,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta, head of the Civil Rights Division. “The Justice Department will remain vigilant in its mission to ensure that all religious groups enjoy the right to practice their faiths freely.”
MMM… I don’t think Ms. Gupta understands the purpose of the First Amendment. It has nothing to do with the federal government making it possible for any group to establish a place of worship. Rather, it prohibits the federal government from establishing a state religion or interfering with anyone practicing his religion. (Gee, a leftist who doesn’t understand the Constitution. Imagine that!) Regardless, I can’t wait for Ms. Gupta to file some lawsuits on behalf of those Christian bakers and photographers being bullied by the Gay Gestapo. I know. Not holding my breath.
This is the same Ms. Gupta who blamed the Ferguson riots on Jim Crow, and the Black Codes, and who is suing Boise, Idaho for not wanting to allow vagrants to sleep in its streets, which is apparently a violation of the 8th Amendment.
Not that there’s any reason for the good people of Des Plaines to worry about the “remaking” of your community. What could possibly go wrong?
